This privacy statement is applicable to the processing of personal data of applicants that apply for vacancies with Takeaway.com. Takeaway.com is responsible for the processing of this personal data and highly values your privacy. Therefore, Takeaway.com complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with respect to the processing of personal data.

What and why we process personal data
Takeaway.com processes personal data about you because you have applied for an open vacancy with Takeaway.com. We only process this data for the selection process and hopefully to welcome you in the future as an employee of Takeaway.com. The legal ground for this processing is that we consider your application as a request to take steps prior to entering into a contract (employment agreement) in accordance with the GDPR.


We only process personal data you yourself provided to us via the website, the application form, sent resumés or motivation letters or by other means during the application process. We process the following data:

  • Contact data
  • Education and experience data
  • Assessment data (if applicable)
Furthermore, we process data you indirectly provide to us, because Takeaway.com uses cookies for functional, analytical- and marketing purposes. Sharing with others
Takeaway.com will not sell your data to third parties and will only issue this data to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you, for analysis and marketing purposes or to meet a legal obligation. We carefully select these parties to ensure the security of your personal data.We may share your data with the following parties:

We enter into processor’s agreements with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Takeaway.com remains responsible for this processing.


Review, correction and deletion of your personal data
You are entitled to access, delete and if necessary correct all your personal data that we collected. If you believe that we collected personal data about you without a valid purpose or if you believe that we are processing personal data that isn’t relevant for your application, please contact us. To do any of the above, please contact privacy-concerns@takeaway.com. Takeaway.com will respond to your query as quickly as possible and no later than within four weeks.Please note that in case of a deletion request, we can no longer process your application.

This privacy statement applies to the processing of the personal data of Takeaway.com employees. Takeaway.com is responsible for the processing of these personal data and takes your privacy seriously. Takeaway.com therefore adheres to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when processing personal data.

 

The personal data we process

 

Takeaway.com processes your personal data because you work at Takeaway.com. We use the following personal data for the following purposes.

 

  1. We process your personal data because you work at Takeaway.com. We process your personal data when, for example, paying your salary, scheduling your shifts, for our records, tax obligations, career planning and talent development, performance assessments, training, trips, etc. For a comprehensive list of all purposes of our personal data processing operations, please refer to our employee privacy code (https://intranet.takeaway.com/25/department). The legal basis for our processing of personal data is that it is needed for the performance of your employment contract as defined in the GDPR. We process the following personal data:

-       Employment contract and other internal contracts

  1. Aside from that, we process personal data through the equipment you use at Takeaway.com. The legal basis for this processing operation is that it is needed in pursuing a legitimate interest of Takeaway.com (IT security) as defined in the GDPR. We process the following personal data:

  1. If you are a driver for Takeaway.com, we also process your data for route planning and optimisations. The legal basis for this processing of personal data that it is needed in pursuing a legitimate interest of Takeaway.com (smooth running of the delivery service). We process the following personal data:

-       Name

-       GPS Location

How long we store personal data for

 

Takeaway.com will not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary for the purposes for which your personal data were collected. We will only store your personal data for longer if we are required by law to do so. In concrete terms, this means that we will store your salary data and contract details for 10 years on account of tax-related reasons. Other data, such as your leave data, performance assessments, or visa details will be erased within 2 years after you leave the company.

 

Processing by third parties

 

Takeaway.com will not sell your personal data to third parties, and we will only disclose them to third parties if necessary, for the performance of our contract with you, for analytical and marketing purposes, or to comply with legal obligations.

-           Parties that manage or run share or option schemes for employees

Whenever we instruct third-party companies to process your personal data on our behalf, we will enter into a data processing agreement to guarantee the same level of protection and confidentiality of your personal data. Personal data access, rectification, and erasure

 

You have the right to access all personal data we collect about you, as well as to request that we rectify or erase your personal data. If you feel that we are processing your personal data without a valid legal basis or that we are processing personal data that are not relevant for our selection process, please contact us. You can contact privacy-concerns@takeaway.com . Takeaway.com will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any case no later than four weeks after receiving your request.

 

Please note that most personal data cannot just be erased while you continue to work at Takeaway.com.
